Ankuli violent attack, two accused arrested

Berhampur,(19/01/2026):One Pradeep Behera (22) of Ankuli reported that, on 17.01.2026 after noon at 03.15 PM while the injured Susanta Behera (Elder brother of complt.) was taking Tea in the Tea stall at Industrial Chhak Berhampur.
Due to previous enmity accused Persons namely 1.Saiprasad Samantaraya, 2. Simanchal Patra @ Sima and 3. Bapuni Sahu came in a Motor cycle and suddenly assaulted back side head and other parts of body of Susanta Behera using a wooden Stick with an intention to kill him, as a result Susanta Behera received severe bleeding injuries on his head and became unconscious.
Immediately the local people shifted the injured Susanta Behera to MKCG MCH, Berhampur for treatment.
During investigation accused persons Saiprasad Samantaraya,
They were identified as; 1. Saiprasad Samantaraya, age 25 Years S/o Surjya Naryan Samantaraya of village Paligumula (Ambapua), PS Gopalpur, At/Pr Goilundi (Srinagar) PS B.N.pur,
2. Simanchal Patra @ Sima, age 19 Years, S/o Sankar Patra of village Dengadi, PS Pattapur
The police have seized oneBajaj Vikrant Motor cycle bearing regd. No. OD 07 V 2621 from their possession.

Few days before occurrence, the injured Susant Kumar Behera , elder brother of the complainant passed some disparing comments against the wife of one Bapuni Sahoo. Bapuni Sahoo along with Sai prasad sanantray and Simanchal patra made a plan and came in a motor cycle and assaulted Susant Behera on his head using one wooden stick near the tea stall at industrial Chhak and escaped from the spot.
Investigation going on to arrest the accused.
This case is with reference to Baidyanathpur PS Case No-26 dtd. 17.1.2026 u/s 115(2)/118(2)/109 BNS.
