ANANYA MAHILA MANDAL ORGANISES BLOOD DONATION CAMP

94 Units of Blood Collected
TALCHER :On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a voluntary blood donation camp was organised by the Ananya Mahila Mandal of MCL. Jagannath Area in support of Talcher Blood Bank.
The blood donation camp organised at the Jagannath Officers’ Club was inaugurated by General Manager of Jagannath Area, Ashok Kumar Dhal and the President of Ananya Mahila Mandal Sushmita Dhal.
The Secretary of Ananya Mahila Mandal Aparajita Das, Members of AMM. Gitanjali Behera, Mousumi Jena, Rosalin Sahu, project officer of Anant OCP. A. K. Das, Jagannath project officer S.K. Manik and other officers, workers of various departments were present. Shantanu Kumar Sahu, the highest blood donor of Talcher participated in the camp and encouraged the blood donors and informed them about the various benefits of donation of blood and completed his 75th times of blood donation.
In view of the current shortage of blood in the state, Shri Dhal praised all the volunteers of Ananya Mahila Mandal for organising such a blood donation camp.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day,Ananya Mahila Mandal has been doing various social work for years and its president Sushmita Dhal said, it will continue such public welfare work. On this occasion, all the guests, senior member of the Red Cross Balaram Pati and blood bank officer Dr. Dilip Majhi and the staffs were felicitated by the organisation with plants.
A total of 94 units of blood were collected in this camp.
