Amrit Kaal Cultural Festival in Rayagada

Rayagada, November 27: A two-day celebration of folk and tribal dance conclave under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Kolkata, is organsed as Amrit Kaal Cultural Festival in Rayagada.
The festival is part of the national initiative launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister to promote the cultural vision of Viksit Bharat. The programme aims to highlight India’s rich cultural heritage, with special emphasis on the vibrant traditions of Odisha.
Local artistes and cultural groups from Rayagada district will present a variety of traditional folk, tribal dance and music forms during the event. With the support of the District Administration, the opening evening will feature performances including Dhemsa Dance, Lanjia Saura Dance, Chaiti Utsav Dance, Adivasi Dhemsa, and Radha Prem lila. On the second evening, audiences will witness Dongria Kondh Dance, Dhangda-Dhangidi, Kui Tribal Dance, Sambalpuri Dance, along with the traditional Prahlada Nataka.
All performances will be presented by artistes from Rayagada district only. The programme will be anchored by Prashant Kumar Nayak and Bidisha Satapathy. Participating artiste groups will receive financial assistance from the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre. The EZCC, Kolkata, and the Rayagada District Administration have appealed to the public to attend in large numbers and encourage the artistes.
