All hockey stars from Odisha represented Olympic were felicitated by RSP management

ROURKELA: The pride of our state, all the members of Indian hockey team represented in Tokyo Olympic were felicitated by Rourkela Steel Plant(RSP),SAIL today in its DIC’s Conference Hall ’Manthan’ in a special program organized by RSP. Olympian, Birendra Lakra,  Vice-Captain of India Hockey team who won Bronze medal was felicitated along with other two Olympians, Deep Grace Ekka and Namita Toppo. The organizers not only felicitated these players also felicitated their respective coaches who had contributed a lot in sharpening their skills and they were Peter Tirkey, Raju kant Saini coaches of SAIL Hockey Academy, Bijay Lakra, coach of other bronze medal winning Indian Men’s hockey team Amit Rohit Das and Mr.Tez Kumar Xess, coach of Deep Grace Ekka. All these coaches and players presented with tokens of appreciation and uttariyas. Many senior officers of the RSP were present in the function and they were A Kundu, ED (Mines), S R Suryawanshi, ED (Works), A K Pradhan, ED(Projects), P K Satapathy, ED(P&A),C R Mohapatra, CGM In-Charge (MM& Marketing), Dr.B K Hota, CMO In-Charge(M&HS). In this unique program many senior officers of RSP, family members of players were present and witnessed the ceremony. Birndra Lakra and other players had shared their beautiful experiences and thanked the RSP management for the honor they delivered. All together it was a nice gesture to encourage the star players who have brought laurels for the country and they all are our pride. The entire program was coordinated by B K Raut, GM In-Charge and Ms. Archana Satpathy, DGM(PR) & CoC.
