Advocate Pitabas Panda Murder: Police Detain Seven, Including Two Jawans

Berhampur: Berhampur police have made a sensational move in the murder case of senior advocate and BJP leader Pitabas Panda, reportedly detaining seven persons for questioning.

The list of detainees includes a CISF jawan and a jawan from the eighth battalion of Odisha reserve police, adding dramatic new angles to the high-profile investigation.

The Berhampur advocate was shot dead at point-blank range near his residence on the night of October 6. Assailants managed to escape immediately after the attack.

Police have not confirmed the exact role of the jawans or other detainees, but sources say intensive interrogation is underway to determine their involvement. Officials believe these latest detentions could be key to unraveling the mystery behind the killing.
