A Man Turned Sati under Wife Pyre at Kalahandi (!)

Bhawanipatna:34 years back a horrified story of Roop Kanwar who sacrificed as Sati at Rajasthan at her husband’s pyre.Back again at a hamlet of Kalahandi such diaspora of superstition beseized one tribal man to sacrifice at his wife funeral pyre on 24th evening in between 7 to 9pm such incident happened at Sialjudi of Kalahandi district,an woman Raibari Sabar(65) died.Villagers taken at crematorium ground & last funeral lit pyre done by her husband Nilamani. Later on he too vanished from world by jumping at dazzled flame of his wife.
According to SP, Kalahandi, Shravan Vivek; Nilamani Sabar was panchayat samiti member during 2002-07.His wife too a ward member.They have 4 sons & a daughter. Daughter married & stayed away from village.Their sons are living separately in that village.His wife Raibari asleep to death & taken by villagers to cremation near village. After her husband showed last lit pyre to his wife,villagers including his sons left for bath to village pond. Neelamani alone stranded near pyre of his wife. All of a sudden he jumped at that flash flame of his wife & villagers noticed his absence & found him blazed by flash fire. They tried to rescue but it was too late. He was almost gutted under fire & turned to ashes within no time.
