“Sahayata” Help Desk for Online fraud ; launched by Commissionerate Police

Bhubaneswar: The Commisionerate Police launched Sahayata helpline number 7440006709 to receive complaints of Cyber Crime on Thursday.

Briefing to press Mr.Sudhanshu Sarangi, Commissioner of Police said that complaints related to online fraud and harassment of women will be handled by the Sahayata desk. “We urge people of the State capital to report cases related to online fraud at the earliest possible to the desk which will enable them to block the bank account of the fraud. We also urge them to visit official website of concerned service providers to save themselves from becoming victims of fraud,”.

Recently police constables who had undergone cyber training will manage the desk while an Sub Inspector rank officer has also been posted there. Similarly the team will be led by Assistant Commissioner of Police of Special Squad he further added.
