MAJOR CASES DETECTION BY GANJAM POLICE

Ganjam,(Chatrapur): On Friday Gangapur PS in Ganjam nabbed six die-hard criminals while preparing themselves to commit dacoity at NH.157 near Somanathpalli Dhaba and seized 04 live bombs,01 sword,01 kati,03 pockets of Chili powder,02 MC,05 mobiles & other incriminating articles.
Badagada PS in Ganjam detected the murder mystery of Bharat Behera of Kharipalli in Badagada PS Case No- 02/2020,U/S 302 IPC and arrested 02 accused persons.
According to IIC Mr Tripathy,that on 03/01/20 some culprits committed of murder of one Bharat Behera of Village Khariapalli on road near a temple.On the strength of a complait by Gourahari Behera the Brother in law of the deceased .
During the course of investigation it came to light that deceased Behera was the acting President of Village committee under whose the village matterwas decided.
About three months ago one Babula Behera of same village assaulted one Mina Mullick of village Mallijharapalli under the leadership of deceased Bharat Behera.
Secondly about two month ago under the leadership of deceased Bharat Behera and other villagers namely Bhaskar Behera,Sima Behera and Bhagaban Behera set fire to a Power-tiller of the accuse Tukuna Behera in this regard on the request of the accuse Tukuna Behera a village meeting was conducted under the leadership of deceased.But the committe decided the proceedings against Tukuna and his appeal was rejected.
After harassment Tukuna made a plan to eliminate the deceased forever. He and his associate Babula Behera by means with one Kati “causing his death on spot. Police have seized all the materials from their possession as both of them surrendered before the police said bt TP Patro,ASP Ganjam in a press meet.
During MV Checking,by Aska police team they detected one pick up vehicle which was clandestinely transporting raw cashew and intimated to sales tax dept who came to PS and imposed fine of Rs 66,000/-.
Dharakote PS in Ganjam conducted a massive excise raid against illicit I’D liquor manufacturing units at Village Champapalli under Dharakote PS and destroyed around 12450 ltrs of molasses and seized 350 ltrs of I’D liquor and registered 5 nos cases.
On dated.09/01/20 the Kabisuryanagar police detected a gambling den and arrested 06 gamblers with seizure of cash Rs.23,610/-, along with other incriminating materials.
