EMERGENCY MEETING BY DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION ON MAHARAJA GOPINATH GAJAPATI’S DEMISE

Paralakhemundi:An Emergency Meeting called by District Administration on the eve of sad demise of Paralakhemundi Maharaja Gopinath Gajapati at Apollo Hospital Bhubaneswar at an early hours today.The meeting presided by Collector Mr.Anupam Saha and graced by MP Mr.Chandrasekhar Sahu,SP Ms.Sarah Sharma,MLA K.Narayan Rao,ADM, PD DRDA & DIPRO Rabichandra Nayak.
At the outset 2 minutes Deepest Silence observed by all Guests & audiences for the Departed Soul.MP Mr.Sahu grieved on sad demise of Late Maharaja & essayed his prolific contributions being 2 timer MP of Brahmapur Parliament Constituency. Ahead of Gajapati Mahostav to be started from 10th to 14th January 2020 he requested audiences for their valuable opinions. MLA Mr.Rao too paid his condolences & proposed to cancel of Gajapati Mahostav due to sad Demise of Maharaja Gopinath Gajapati. Collector Mr.Saha paid his Homage to Late Maharaja & requested all to take part on bereaved hours to Honor the Great Soul on His Funeral.SP Ms.Sharma too expressed her deepest condolences for Late Maharaja.She also requested all to share on State Honor on the Funeral of Late Maharaja today.It is decided that Speaker Suryanarayan Patra,other Ministers & state officials will attend the Funeral Rites too.
Among others Purna Chandra Mahapatra,Batakrushna Patra,Dr.Bharati Panigrahi,Debashis Padhi,Dr.Brushaketu Das,BB Mahanty,Suryanarayan Patnaik,BN Bebarta spoke on the occasion. Unanimously.
It is decided that instead of 5 days of Gajapati Mahostav 4 days i.e ,from 11th to 14th January 2020 will be observed at Gajapati Stadium where no cultural program will be taken place.With Pallishree Mela the Mahostav will be observed to restore Deepest Silence for the Departed Soul.Souvenir for Gajapati Mahostav also inaugurated on last day.
