Now-a-days roads accidents have increased and all this happened because of biking motorcycles on high speed and being not following traffic laws. In an accident near DAV School chawk one Scooty driver named Piuyush Tirkey (30) died on roads after Scooty unbalanced he fell badly on roads having injury in his head. Similarly another accident happened near Lying near Kansbhal when one bike collapsed head on to a Wagon-R car which was coming from Sundergarh and two bikers died on spot. For last few days Rourkela police have started checking Licenses and other documents including wearing of helmets in different chawks as per their plan which has given the due result of penalizing bikers with valid documents and licenses and collected more than Rs.8 lakh as penalty and also cancelled many licenses. This activity should happen round the clock so that none should dare to go out without any valid document and without helmets. Police also should have a check on bikers who driving their bikes with high speed in congested road. Though the fact of the matter is police does have many other activities to perform but this act on regular basis will certainly bring accident and death ration there on under check.
