TWO INTER-STATE GANJA MAFIA NAB BY KORAPUT POLICE

KORAPUT:On Tuesday at about 12.45PM a raid was conducted by Semiliguda Police on illegal transportation of Ganja at Rajput Chhack of Semiliguda-Nandapur road, in which one 10 wheeler full body truck bearing Regd. No. CG-04-FB-2582 and 841 kg (8 Quintals 41 Kg) of contraband Ganja has been seized and two inter-state Ganja mafia identified as Dhiroj Kumar, aged 20 years & Arvind Kumar, aged 19 years of Buxar district of Bihar arrested. In connection Semiliguda police have registered a case, u/s 20 (b) (ii) (C)/29 NDPS Act, 1985.
According to Officer, Ganja was transported from Lamtaput area towards Chhattisgarh via Semiliguda and the value of the seized Ganja is more than 80 lakhs as per outside value Rs. 10, 000/kg.
The raid is being conducted by Dhiren Kumar Behera, IIC Semiliguda PS, CSI Pravat Gouda, ASI Birat Chandra Pattnaik,ASI Sarat Chandra Bisoi, Manthan Kumar Bagh with presence of Debabrata Karati, Addl. Tahasildar, Semiliguda as executive magistrate.
