HEAD CLERK ARRESTED BY VIGILANCE WHILE ACCEPTING BRIBE.

BERHAMPUR:On Tuesday one Chittaranjan Singh, Head Clerk, of BEO,Daringibadi,Kandhamal, has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Berhampur Division for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs.5,000/- from complainant Siba Shankar Patnaik, of Village,Kurla,Seragada PS,Ganjam now placed at Daringbadi.
in order to process his application papers who has applied for job under rehabilitation scheme against the death of his father in the year 2015.Singh demanded has accepted the illegal gratification and accepted Rs.5000/- from the complainant Patnaik.
Accordingly, a trap was laid by the vigilant Vigilance officers, Berhampur Division and accused Chittaranjan Singh, Head Clerk was caught red-handed.
According to a senior officer (Vigilance) the accused while accepted the amount in his right hand counted properly the denomination and kept in his back side pant pocket. Where the bribe amount has been recovered and seized. The bribe money with all relevant file has been seized. Both the hand washes as well as back side pant pocket wash of accused gave positive chemical reaction. The accuse Singh is being arrested and forwarded to Court.
The Serach is ON at his office and residence at Baliguda is under scanner.
