TALCHER:TWJA is a Socio-cultural association to develop amity and brotherhood in the state of Odisha as well as in the nation have been organizing 4th pillar award ceremony to encourage the media personnel and social activists to change the aim and motto of general public towards service sector of the nation. Talcher Working Journalists’ Association always encourages the persons who have dedicated their mind and soul towards humanitarian activities in the society and this organization salute the legendary personnel who have dedicated their lives to promote and restore the inherent culture and civilization of mother India.
Since last thirteen years TWJA have been organizing the 4th Pillar Award Ceremony and felicitating the social heroes in the nation. This year the 4th Pillar Award Ceremony was organized on 16th November 2020 at Sabha Ghar, Talcher by maintaining all criteria and law imposed during this Covid -19 Pandemic. In this auspicious occasion Hon’able M.L.A. Talcher joined as chief guest . He told that the only organization belongs to media and journalists here in Talcher is observing this auspicious occasion to promote and encourage the media personnel throughout the nation” I am proud of this organization due to their unconditional effort for the development of socio cultural aim. The topic of discussion “The role of media & its freedom in the time of Covid -19 Pandemic” is a very difficult topic to analyze in a short span of time.only thing is common men have their own freedom to care and share all the hurdles and happiness.I have only to say that the journalists’ are also counted as Covid-19 warriors to create awareness and do the needful for the common society . Now a days journalists’ are facing so many difficulties to protect themselves from bad situation.Chief Speaker of the event Senor Journalist Durgamadhab Mishra expresses his aim towards the freedom of speech as per the constitutional law should be followed by everyone for the safe side of our nation, because a sentence of speech may burn the whole society within a movement. Common men , public representative and government are standing under one roof , each should have create good relationship among each other for a greater interest of the nation he added. President of Talcher Working Journalists’ Association Dhiramohan Ray presided the meeting. In his speech , he told that In the name of industrialization in Talcher the green environment is losing its own noble impact towards mankind and the relation between brother and sister , father and mother, parents and parents are feeling uneasy as the social relations become meaningless due to mass displacement.The Group General Manager of NTPC/TTPS D.N.Tiwari and Sub Collector &SDM of Talcher Rajanikant Swain was on the dais as Honorable guests , General Secretary of TWJA Soubhagya Chandra Nayak read out the annual report .After that 4th pillar Award were given to different dignitaries successful in their own way.

Ratnakar Bhoi, Staff Reporter Sambad, Angul was awarded 4th pillar media Revolution Award. Mohammad Iqubal as 4th Pillar Educationist Award, 4th Pillar Social Service Award goes to Sj. Bibhuti Sahoo., Ananta Charan Sahu, Smt. Dolly Mishra, President of SurabhiMahilaMandal of MCL, Bharatpur, Rajesh Das, Manoranjan Pradhan, AnandAcharya and 4th Pillar Covid Yodha Award goes to Pradipta Kumar Swain, area commander of Anant Ambulance team, Sj. SuryakantaSwain of Talcher Municipality.
On the eve of National Press Day, 15/11/2020 each year a voluntary blood donation camp was organized by TWJA through its 4th pillar jibanrekha programme, the camp was inaugurated by Mrs. Dolly Mishra, President of Surabhi Mahila Mandal . The first Blood Donor of the camp was Mrs. Sangita Sahoo encouraged other donors and 22 units of blood were collected. In this Pandemic period of covid 19 most of the blood donors are maintaining physical Distancing and isolated themselves from public places by which a less quintiles blood was collected.
Among others Madan Mohan Sahoo, Vice President of the Association Ajay Kumar Nayak, Treasurer Sanjay Dalai,Asistant Secretary Rudramohan Gadnayak, member Manil Maharana,Bapuji Samal,Debaranjan Samal, Mantu Mohanty,Ashutosh Dasi ,Former president Artatrana Pani, Gourav Ray,Basudev Sahoo,Syd. Julfikar Hussein, Rangadhar Nahak, Chaitan Sahoo, Ajit Behera and the members of Surabhi Mahila Mandal were coordinated.
