Anti-national slogans and activities must not be tolerated at JNU-Film on inauguration of statue of Swamy Vivekanand-Celebrity having joined JNU students on 07.01.2020 should have joined the function on 12.11.2020

DELHI:It refers to some students of Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi led by President of JNU Students Union protesting stalling statue of great internationally renowned personality Swamy Vivekanand in the university-campus on 12.11.2020 by Prime Minister Narender Modi through video-conferencing. Strict-most action is necessary against those raising highly objectionable slogans like Modi-Murdabad without even understanding meaning of the slogan.

Highly renowned lady film-personality having specially visited JNU campus New from Bollywood on 07.01.2020 to express solidarity with JNU students should have exhibited her impartiality by attending the function held for inaugurating statue of Swamy Vivekanand.

JNU has gained notoriety for regular and frequent anti-national and anti-social activities. It is surprising how even teachers with political motives of a particular ideology get appointed at this institute set up and run at high public-cost as compared to other universities in the country. Best is to abandon JNU in its existing form and instead utilizing huge premises and available resources for setting up an altogether new institute for higher studies under a new name after say great educationist former President of India Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who also happened to be first Vice President of India ensuring that anti-national and anti-social elements may not be able to be recruited as teachers or admitted as students. Fees and other costs including of hostel-facilities at JNU should be raised to be at par with other central universities. An upper age-limit and maximum stay at the university as a student should be fixed to abolish misuse of hostel-facility at very nominal cost for extra-long period just for carrying on political activities of a particular ideology in name of being JNU student.
