WORKSHOP ON MATRUJYOTI SCHEME HELD IN SUNDERGARH

ROURKELA: One workshop is being organized for ‘Matrujyoti Scheme’ in Sundergarh at Pragati Mandap which was kick started for the officers and workers involved in this programme. In this training programmme, all the doctors of Sundergarh, CDPO, ASHA and Anganwadi members will be participating. Many programmes one after another are scheduled, on 15th a Video conferencing workshop will be organized for doctors and on 16th all CDPOs of four blocks will be given training at Bonei.
Govt. is extending all services for pregnant women through ‘Mamata’ scheme where all pregnant women who comes to the Govt. Hospital is given free treatment and check up and this Matrujyoti Scheme is one step advance solution to give the patients due ultrasound facility to see child’s health in the womb as well as mother’s health. This will certainly benefits many pregnant women to keep a track of child and mother’s health without any cost. For the cause already the administration has roped in 41 private ultra sound clinics in the district to provide the desire service. To make it successful all the ASHA and Anganwadi workers will help these ladies to come to the ultrasound clinics as decided by the administration for check up, said, Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, Collector, Sundergarh. For this cause food and transporting cost will also be provided.
Collector, Sundergarh is very much proactive in almost all developmental works in the districts particularly related to health issues whether its related health of mother and child or corona. This Scheme is funded by district Mineral Fund which will cater to the need of almost 28000 pregnant patients in the district.s
