PLASMA THERAPY IS A SUCCESSFUL METHOD IN ROURKELA

ROURKELA: Plasma therapy is the most successful therapy across the country and so as in Rourkela. Rourkela is one of the prime contributors of corona patients in Odisha after Khurda and Cuttack.
The corona ration is gradually decreasing everywhere including Sundergarh district. Although corona positive cases fluctuating day by day, overall ratio has come down and one of the key important factors is plasma therapy. On July 31st, Naveen Patnaik, CM, of Odisha had inaugurated the plasma centre in Ispat General Hospital (IGH) through Video conferencing.
After this, it has been a centre to collect plasma from patients who have already corona positive and been recovered.
Till now as per the reports already 125 units of plasma have been collected this can cater to almost 200 patients. Till now with this therapy, where many patients have recovered successfully and many more people who were corona positive are showing interest to donate plasma. Employees of Rourkela Steel Plant are also the worst victim with more than 100 employees have found corona positive and recovery ratio is also very good. As per the report from Dr. M Soren, In-charge of Plasma Bank, IGH, 25 employees of RSP have donated plasma. He also urged all corona patients who have recovered to come forward and contribute plasma for other patients who are suffering from corona. Whosoever is contributing plasma, the recovery of blood would be within 24 hours, hence, nothing to be panic. Anyways, this move by the local Administration and due action by the State Govt. is helping patients in Sundergarh districts.
