STF SEIZES LEOPARD SKIN IN SUBARNAPUR

BHUBANESWAR: On the basis of reliable information STF conducted a raid near ITI Subarnapur about deal and sale of leopard skin by wild life criminals on Monday afternoon. As a result of which one accused person Ashok Chatrtria resident of Babunektima, PS Mahupalli in Sambalpur distinct was apprehended.
One leopard skin was seized from his possession. While accused Ashok could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such skin, for which he has been arrested and forwarded to court of SDJM Subarnapur on Tuesday.
In this connection STF has registered a case u/s.379/411 r/w.51 of wildlife protection act.
The seized skin will be sent to Wildlife Institute of India, Deheradun for chemical test and the investigation is ON.
