Pick-Up van Carrying Ganja over 700kg seized in Malkangiri,3 held

MALKANGIRI:Monday night around 11.30pm while Padmagiri Police were alert in night patrolling, they were searching all those vehicles on the way which were moving to Jeypore and Jagdalpur. Mean while they had information from a source about the ganja loaded vehicle.

Last two months almost in each alternate day at least one vehicle is moving outside from the district of Mlakangiri in Odisha.But the Excise Department and to gear up the Mafia gang of Malkangiri district in joint venture the police have draw the road map of the movements of Ganja peddlers  and to trap.

From sources it’s learnt that as many so called Babus’ are involved with those ganja mafias, for which the ganja smugglers are moving uninterruptedly in last few months as free bird.

Police have seized the pick-Up van bearing Regn No-OD-10-N 9801, three accused has been arrested and 700kg ganja has been seized. The ganja cost will be approximately around Rs. 40 lakhs as said by the Excise official. The detainees have been identified Padman Harijan, Padman Pradhani of Dalapatiguda and Muka Kawasi of Sargiguda. Other two masterminds Unga Madhi and Narasingh Madhi could able to escape narrowly  from spot. Police and Excise Deptt are in search of those fled Mafias.
