DISTRICT CONGRESS COMMITTEE PROTESTED FOR BAD ROAD CONDITIONS IN ROURKELA

ROURKELA:District Congresss Committee (DCC) under the leadership of senior leader,s George Tirkey had organist a protest at STI chawk today. This protest was conducted only when road conditions have not improved after DCC had made complaint few days back for a quick action. Nothing has happened in these days and road conditions in different location of Rourkela are in very bad conditions. In many places roads were dug for road repairing or sewerage system but unfortunately the same is not filled. In some other places roads are damaged due to lack of maintenance. Congress has alleged that all this has happened because of non action of many agencies because lack of understanding between these agencies like Rourkela Municipal Corporation, Rourkela Development Authority, Rourkela Smart City Ltd. Urban development department, Sewerage Board and Engineering Department of Govt. of Odisha. They have also complained that the officers of these organizations are not serious about the matter even after these complaints about bad roads and its affect on common people. Hence, this protest was conducted to aware common people of the facts. This protest was participated by many senior leaders of Rourkela Congress including Ex President, District Congress Committee, Biren Senapaty, Prasanta Sethi, Rohit Joseph Tirkey, Kailas Chandra Sahoo, Gyanendra Das, Ramanand Srichandan and Other senior leaders of Congress’s different wings.
