COP LINK WITH TOBACCO DEALING (?) NO ONE IS ACCUSED YET,SP, BERHAMPUR

BERHAMPUR:Information was received regarding acceptance of money by police personnel from one M.Raju of Bada Bazar area dealing with tobacco products and other materials. On this SP Berhampur, Pinak Mishra personally enquired into the matter. It was ascertained that on dated2/9/2020 evening C/811 Tukuna Sethy,LNK/447 Rajendra Sethy,C/848 Santosh Kumar Jal and OPAF Abhijan Gomago were found to have been involved in alleged matter. Their conduct were proved to be suspicious and malafied. Hence SP,Berhapurpur put them under suspension with effect from Sunday dated.13/099/20.
Shymasundar Sahu from where M.Ranjit has purchased the Tobacco products has been guarded. Requisition has been placed to Asst.Commissioner of Central Excise, and Customs Service taxes, Deputy Commissioner of CT and GST, Health Oficer,BeMC to verify the documents pertaining to the genuineness of the Business,Manufacturing,transportation of tobacco product and also to know whether the products are consumable or not (?).
After the verification of the genuineness of the products which have been stored in the Godown, necessary legal action will be taken as fit.
No one is accused yet, they are a delinquent who has been suspended for gross misconduct.SP added
