WOMAN “MURDERED” IN GANJAM

ASKA,(Ganjam): The body of a woman was found inside a temple premises at Haridapadar village in Aska of Ganjam district and the deceased has been identified as Ranjita Nayak (42).according to IIC,Aska Prashant Sahu.
According to SDPO,Suryamani Pradhan, the locals and passersby spotted the lifeless body early on Sunday morning and immediately alerted the Aska town police about the same. On being informed, Aska PS IIC Prashant Sahu with his team rushed to the spot and retrieved the body.
As per sources, Rajita was on her way home when she was intercepted by her brother-in-law who suddenly attacked her. While the woman bled to death, the accused man fled the spot. Though the exact circumstances that led to the crime were not known immediately, police suspected that incident was may be a fallout of past enmity, however police investigation is still ON.
