ONE RMC EMPLOYEE RANJAN MALLICK WHO WAS ASSIGNED CORONA DUTY DIED IN ACCIDENT

ROURKELA: In a tragic incident Mr.Ranjan Ku Mallick (45) who was an employee of Rourkela Municipal Corporation died yesterday. While he was coming after completing daily duty of supervision for cleaning of roads in Bus Stand area and in Bania Gate at around 5am an unknown vehicle hit him from the back and he was badly injured and was felled on the road, Few passers by identifying him had informed his family members and then he was taken to Rourkela Govt. Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

 A FIR was lodged by his brother in Plant Site Police Station and subsequently police has seized the body and sent for post mortem. The deceased was staying in Uditnagar and had been working in RMC for last twenty years. He was a nice man as per his close associated and fellow employee and most importantly he was also a member of Civil Defense and been very supportive in this assignment. After the post mortem his body was taken to RMC office where, Dibyajyoti Parida, Commissioner, RMC, Sarada Nayak, MLA, Rourkela and other staffs of RMC and few known politicians had paid their last respect. He was also President awardees and had received this award in the year 2013. He was left with three children and one unmarried sister. Subhendu Panda, the Secretary of the Civil Defense Volunteer Welfare Association has requested the administration to give job to his family member to satisfy the financial need of the family.
