COMBACT COVID19 LOCKDOWN EXTEND TILL 31ST IN GANJAM

BERHAMPUR:The district administration here has announced to seal the entry and exit points of Ganjam district as a measure to curb the further spread of COVID-19.Today here in a press meet Collector Ganjam Vijay Amruta Kulange today announced this.

However, only people with medical emergencies and official work will be allowed to move. Restriction on intra-district movement will also be imposed to contain spread of virus from urban areas to rural areas.

Referring to the lockdown in the district, Kulange said that trading and business establishments will remain open from 5 am to 4 pm. He also said that the two-day weekly shutdown in the district will remain in force till August 31.

The collector also warned that a hefty fine will be imposed for not wearing masks properly. In his press meet he demonstrates the process how to use the Mask.

Commissioner,BeMC Chakravartysingh Rathore,told to scribe the shop owners were asked to strictly abide by social distancing guidelines and wear masks while dealing with customers.The shop owners will have to keep the contact details of their customers and draw circles and put up barricades in front of their establishments.

Brijesh Rai,SP,Ganjam urged all the shopkeepers to strictly adhere to the social distancing norms. Stringent action will be initiated against those who do not adhere the norms.

Joining the press meet Pinak Mishra,SP,Berhampur said during  the period of night curfew from 4PM to 5AM,  shops are allowed only to open from 5AM to  4PM with strict social distancing norms.

 The district borders will also remain sealed, People are being allowed to cross the borders; one can dial 100 to get emergency pass, SP Pinak Mishra.
