ODISHA DGP HOLDS VIDEO CONFERENCE WITH DISTRICT SSP, RANGE DISG & ISG

CUTTACK,31st July:Odisha DGP Mr Abhaya on Saturday held a videoconference with all district SsP/Range DIsG/IsG from 11.00 AM to 01.00 PM.
Additional DGP (Headquarters), IGP (Modernisation), IGP (Prov.), IGP (Pers.), Director SCRB and Special DGP, Intelligence, IGP (OPS), DIG SIW also attended.
Main themes discussed were making police stations safe & more welcoming, making CCTV cameras of police stations functional round the clock and tamperproof, policing and enforcement in COVID times, Precautions (mask, social distance and hygiene).
Besides, change in work processes (arrest, interrogation, etc) during COVID time and its implementation, supply of PPE, sanitiser, face shield, etc., were discussed.
Main themes discussed were: Action when Police personnel testing positive., Arrest, remand, custody in present circumstances. The matters are; Offence against women, Action against Drug Trafficking, Gem Registration by District,CC, CCH run by Police, for Police, Personal related issues, nomination for Medals. Present position of uniform items.
