GANJAM MODIFIES 14-DAY LOCKDOWN, COLLECTOR

BERHAMPUR,17/07/20:Keeping in view of rapid spike in COVID-19 positive cases, Ganjam Collector Vijaya Amruta Kulange modifies 14 day lockdown in urban areas and many part of the district.

On Friday Collector Ganjam,Vijay Amruta Kulange describe to scribes in a press meet the district administration have taken the decision following the instruction from State Govt  for 14  days lockdown  to break the chain of the virus transmission. This will effect to remain in force from July 17th night to July 31st, However people can move for marketing from 7AM to 1PM.

During the period door-to-door health screening will be conducted in all NACs, Municipality, all block headquarters and Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) areas.

BeMC Commissioner Chhakravartysingh Rathore said,MKCG Berhampur has started the Tele-Medicine for the patients in response to aimed rising of Covid cases in district. The telemedicine service will facilitate remote treatment of patients without requiring them to visit the hospital for minor ailment amid the corona pandemic situation. The patients can consult the doctors through phone and WhatsApp between 9AM to 5PM from Monday to Saturday. The patient can contact numbers ; 7064588070 / 8260727171.

Notably, the Odisha govt on Friday modified the earlier order partially and allowed few other operations to continue during the complete lockdown in four districts including Cuttack, Khurdha,Ganjam,Jajpur and Rourkela Municipal Corporation area till July 31.

During the lockdown, all shops and commercial establishments, offices and institutions shall remain closed and mobility of people restricted, with these exemptions.

The SRC, Odisha informed about a few other operations that are allowed to continue till July 31 amid the lockdown period.

Following operations are allowed during the lockdown:-

Telecom and Internet Service Providers including their maintenance offices and movement of their staff with proper identity cards., Data and Call Centres., Banks, Insurance, and Financial Institutions including Service Organisations to operate with not more than 25% of their manpower strength for essential banking transactions and ATM feeding agencies.,Capital and debt market services as notified by the Security & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) with bare minimum staff,  Office of Comptroller & Auditor General of India and its field offices with bare minimum staff, Departments of the State Government and their sub-ordinate offices as notified by the GA & PG Department,  Offices of UN Agencies with bare minimum staff, Mining operations, Shops dealing with fruits, fish, meal chicken and egg between 6 am and 7 pm subject to strict adherence of norms of physical distance and other Covid-19 safety protocols to be ensured by the Local Authorities. The Local Authorities may disperse the fish, meat and chicken shops out of the traditional market,  Cold storage warehousing services and packaging units including their transportation, Deployment of private security services., Home delivery of IMFL/CL/ OS liquor by the existing ON/OFF/OS licensees as per the prevailing guidelines of the Excise Department.
