Odisha still under clutch of AP:Gangabada voters voted at AP election
Paralakhemundi,07/11/26:On 5th November Andhrapradesh held Panchayat elections. That invited Odisha border villagers to cast their votes. As they are streamed with Adhar card, with other benefits of @4500 pension, free rations, supporting children on free education from primary to higher education level. So such temperament attracted tribal villagers despite some light schemes of Odisha part.
At Gangabada panchayat of Gajapati district, those voters are free to cast their votes.Though district administration still vigilant to erase election in Odisha den, but could not control villagers to vote at AP. Said Additional District Magistrate Phalguni Majhi,”We are round the clock turned as watchdog to eclipse all attempts of AP Government to foil election at Odisha arena.”But such captive attempt could not control those voters to cast their votes.
Said Haribandhu Karjee Sarpanch of Gangabada panchayat, though attempt made during election time, but holistically poverty alleviation schemes hardly reaching to villagers.Even some villagers are yet to get forest pattas to ensure their livelihood rights & even lacking housing domicile patta after Titli cyclone.Secondly for minimum treatment they depend at nearest Mandasha mandal headquarter of AP for medical attention & other rations which is nearby to their panchayat. Moreover AP Government lured their huge schemes.Similarly on 2021 & 2024 election villagers of 6 villages casted their votes. For children free education with @ 15000 annual stipend helping as an attractive resource.
So unless a blueprint magnify & quantify to analyze their livelihoods with social & economic dimension villagers still strong to support AP Government. Time will answer when Gajapati district administration reaching at their woes. Recently Collector Akhay Sunil Agrawal & Sub Collector Bhagat Samal Kalyan Rao with team, visited on post Arnab cyclone to that area by walk & reviewed on road communication & other areas of core issues.
