NTPC TALCHER KANIHA EXTENDS SUPPORT TO THE NEEDY

TALCHER:As the country fights the COVID-19 pandemic, NTPC Talcher Kaniha extends support to the needy and underprivileged in villages surrounding the Power Plant. Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Station provided grocery items like rice, pulses, cooking oil, vegetables, and soap to 100 needy people from labour colonies in Mundahutting along with Rangabeda, Bijigol and Gadasila.
The distribution of groceries was done in two consecutive days, in the presence of Shri Ramesh Jena, BDO, Kaniha, Smt. Deepika Devi Ray, IIC, NTPC Kaniha Police Station, Shri K.S Sarma, AGM (HR), Shri Jakir Khan, DGM (HR), and other HR officials. Necessary social distancing and sanitisation protocols were ensured to maintain adequate hygiene. NTPC Kaniha has focused its CSR efforts to ensure that vulnerable communities are safeguarded from the harsh economic impact of the pandemic. The Station has so far provided sanitizers, masks, and grocery items to various villages in the vicinity of the Plant and continues this effort.
