WSC Invites Applications for Advanced Skill Courses, Deadline September 30

One-year Advanced Skill Development Courses offered free to eligible SC, ST, OBC, SEBC and minority candidates
Bhubaneswar, September 26, 2026: The World Skill Center (WSC), India’s premiere advanced skill training institute in Bhubaneswar, has invited applications for its Advanced Skill Development Courses for the academic session 2026–27. The last date to apply is September 30, 2026.
Operating under the Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha, WSC offers Advanced Skill Development Courses at the Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur campuses under the Schools of Engineering, Services and Advance Technology.
The one-year programmes are being offered at the Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur campuses across the Schools of Engineering and Services, while the School of Advance Technology at Bhubaneswar is offering a six-month Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) programme.
At the Bhubaneswar campus, Advanced Skill Development Courses under the School of Engineering include Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Electrical Technology, Mechanical & Electrical Services, Mechatronics Engineering, Vertical Transportation, Precision Engineering, Digital Animation, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management. The School of Services offers programmes in Beauty & Wellness, Hospitality & Hotel Operations, and Health Care Assistant Training.
The Sambalpur campus offers one-year programmes in Beauty & Wellness, Hospitality & Hotel Operations, and Logistics & Supply Chain Management.
Eligibility varies by programme and includes qualifications such as ITI, Diploma, B.E./B.Tech, +2 and other prescribed credentials. The six-month AI & ML programme is open to candidates with B.E./B.Tech or MCA qualifications, subject to eligibility criteria.
As part of State Government’s commitment towards inclusive and accessible skill development, eligible SC, ST, OBC, SEBC and minority beneficiaries can undertake all one-year Advanced Skill Development Courses at WSC free of cost, subject to applicable conditions.
Students are provided free hostel accommodation, meals, uniforms and bus transportation. The Center also places special emphasis on placement support, helping students explore employment opportunities with leading organisations in India and abroad after completing their education and training.
To broaden access to advanced skill training, 10% of seats in the programmes are reserved for candidates from outside Odisha, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria and applicable admission norms.
Equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, modern training facilities and industry-relevant programmes, WSC places strong emphasis on hands-on training, practical learning and workplace readiness. During 2025–26, the Center recorded a 99% placement rate, with 295 candidates securing global placement opportunities.
