Wanted Accused in 21 Criminal Cases Arrested from Mumbai by Brahmapur Police

Brahmapur, September 21, 2026: Gosaninuagaon Police of Brahmapur Police District has arrested a wanted accused who was allegedly involved in 21 criminal cases registered under Gosaninuagaon and Baidyanathpur police stations.

The accused, identified as Tuna @ Jagadish Chandra Patro @ Nikhiles Patro @ Jangu Tuna (40), son of Khali Patro @ Prafulla Patro of Brit Colony, Nilakanthanagar under Gosaninuagaon Police Station, was arrested on September 19, 2026, from Galaxy Company under Taloja Police Station limits in Panvel, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Police said four non-bailable warrants (NBWs) were pending against him. After sustained efforts to trace his whereabouts, a police team proceeded to Maharashtra and apprehended him.

Following his arrest, the accused was brought to Gosaninuagaon Police Station on transit remand. He was subsequently produced before the Hon’ble Court on September 21, 2026, for further legal proceedings.

Criminal Antecedents

According to police, the accused is involved in 21 cases registered at Gosaninuagaon and Baidyanathpur Police Stations.

The cases include allegations relating to murder, attempt to murder, robbery, extortion and offences under the Arms Act, Explosive Substances Act and SC/ST Act, among other offences.

Police said the arrest followed coordinated efforts to trace and apprehend the wanted accused who had been residing outside Odisha.
