NTPC NRHQ Lucknow extends CSR Support for Animal Welfare

Lucknow:NTPC Northern Region Headquarters (NRHQ), Lucknow, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, extended support to Lucknow Municipal Corporation for the welfare and care of cattle at Kanha Upvan Gaushala, Lucknow which houses around 10 thousands  abandoned or stray cattle (including cows, bulls, and calves) along with sections for other rescued animals.

As part of the initiative, coolers, wall-mounted fans and rock salts to be used in fodder were provided to facilitate better care and improve the living conditions of the cattle at the Gaushala.

The materials were formally handed over by Sh. S. N. Panigrahi, ED (HR), NTPC NRHQ, Lucknow, to Dr. Abhinav Verma, Animal Welfare Officer, Nagar Nigam, Lucknow, at a programme held at Kanha Upvan Gaushala.

The programme was attended by Smt Namita Panigrahi ,Vice President , Uttra Club  & officials from NRHQ  & staff members of Gaushala.

The initiative reflects NTPC’s continued commitment towards animal welfare, social responsibility and sustainable community development through meaningful CSR interventions
