Hindi Pakhwada inaugurated at NTPC Northern Region Headquarters

Lucknow, September 14, 2026: Hindi Pakhwada was inaugurated with enthusiasm at NTPC Northern Region Headquarters, Lucknow.
The fortnight-long celebrations will be celebrated from September 14 to28, 2026, featuring various programmes to promote the use of Hindi in official communication.
Shri S. N. Panigrahi, Executive Director (HR), Northern & South Region, administered the Hindi Diwas pledge and urged employees to maximise the use of Hindi in their day-to-day official work. He also emphasised the need to review and strengthen Hindi usage across Northern Region projects.
In his Hindi Appeal issued to the employees, Shri Panigrahi highlighted the significance of Hindi and recalled its adoption as the Official Language of the Union on September 14, 1949.
Shri Rahul Sharma, AGM (HR), welcomed the Executive Director and highlighted the importance of Hindi Diwas. He encouraged employees and their family members to participate enthusiastically in the Hindi Pakhwada competitions and also mentioned NTPC NRHQ’s initiatives, including Hindi workshop-cum-review meetings, to promote the use of Hindi in day-to-day work.
The competitions will include essay writing, poetry recitation, slogan writing and Hasya Kavi Sammelan, among other activities for employees and their families.
