At Paralakhemundi Local Self Governance Day(LSGD)observed with all color & gaiety in the district headquarter of Gajapati.
At morning Ramdhun chanted through out town with pious & purity.Later among guests Chairperson Nirmala Sethi,Vice Chairman Lenka Madhu with all Councillors,Executive Officer of Paralakhemundi Municipality Laxman Murmu garlanded on the statues of legends across the town.Host elected Representatives of urban council, staff,students & intellectuals gathered at Municipal Office.
Chairperson lauded efforts of those servers,who started the day on cleanliness.Support of public not the least to keep hygiene & neat sanitation with restoration of dry &wet garbage separately.Their efforts & exquisite services portrayed as best team work. She appealed public to pay regular house holding tax & cooperate staff to sojourn a better climate change & eradicate all air borne & water borne diseases from the area.A healthy atmosphere will bring good environment,she added.
Among others Executive Officer Laxman Murmu & Councillors spoke on this occasion.Later sweets & fruits distributed to inmates of Leprosy clinic.
At evening in Biju Kalyan Mandap massive gathering attracted extra vaganza with guests presence & cultural fiesta.MLA Paralakhemundi Er.Rupesh Kumar Panigrahi,Special Development Council Chairman Kamadeb Badanayak, Chairperson Sethi,Vice Chairman Lenka Madhu,Executive Officer Murmu graced on dias.Speakers,too,accoladed on efforts taken by urban council & lauded efforts of key stake holders responsible in mass cleanliness of town.They also advised staff to maintain transparency & accountability on all Infrastructures development.To regain the oldest urban council diligence,duties & responsibilities will figure towards impeccable race to pronounce late Parala Maharaja Sri Krushnachandra Gajapati,whose drainage system at Paralakhemundi is still a strong parameter.
On this occasion prizes given to winners(students)who participated on literary competitions & not the least district media crew XI,winners of friendly cricket match against urbal council XI.
Audience excelled their vigor to watch cultural fiesta after meeting session till late night.A deemed cooperation from staff of urban council could make successful of day’s events
