Three books launched in Rayagada poets’ convention

Rayagada , August 25: A grand book launch ceremony in poets’ convention was held at Satya Sai Seva Sadan premises, Royat Colony, Rayagada town. On this occasion, Dr. Rati Ranjan Dash’s satire book collection ‘Mahabahu: Barsha, Banya, Batya Lagi Rahu’, anthology of poems named ‘Meena Nayanare’ and young talented poet Subash Behera’s poetry collection ‘Shabdar Taj Mahal’ were launched. The chief guest at the event was Dr. Badal kumar Tah, the keynote speaker was Sadashib Rajguru and the guests of honor were Gaurachandra Sadangi, Niranjan Tripathi (Brahmapur), Sarat Chandra Mishra, Ashok Kumar Biswal, M. Satish, Someshwar Rao, Lalit Mohan Jena and Jayadev Sitha were present and presented the launched books to the august gathering.
On the advice of the program organiser Dr. Rati Ranjan Dash, the accomplished poetess Sasmita Mishra and the talented poet Pradeep Kumar Nayak skillfully moderated the program. In the beginning, the guests adored the stage, were introduced, the lamp was lit before Sai Ram, spiritual hymns were sung and the guests were felicitated with bouquets & shawls. Later, the books were released.
The guests guided the poets to recite their own poems and stories. The special attraction of the event was to honor the poets by facilitating them for their selected poetry recitations. In this magnificent poets’ conference, many esteemed poets including Kuna Mohapatra, Arun Kumar Panigrahi, Nilamani Patajoshi, Hrushikesh Rath, Sridhar Patnaik, Ahalya Maharana, Maheshweta Panigrahi, Padmini Mishra, Prashanthi Sahu, Kalyani Sasmal, Triveni Mishra, Sasmita Acharya, Pranati Mishra, Arun Kumar Lenka, Adarshraj Patajoshi, Papini Maharana, Lokanath Panda recited their selected poems and contributed to the development of Odia language and literature.
The Chief Guest Tah advised all the writers and poets to dovetail social media like instagram, facebook, utube, etc to further the creative writings by them. This will minimise the generation gap between experienced & old laureates and young & budding writers. Finally, poet Sridhar Patnaik thanked all the esteemed devotees and guests present and authorities of Satyasai Seva Sadan. Prasadam was offered to all.
