Brahmapur, August 11, 2026: The Ganjam district administration, in association with the Bahmapur  Municipal Corporation (BeMC), has stepped up preparations for the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, aimed at inspiring citizens to proudly display the National Flag at their homes and strengthen the spirit of patriotism.

The campaign, being observed from August 9 to August 17, 2026, has witnessed a series of awareness programmes, community mobilisation drives, local marches and marathons across the district.

As part of the campaign, Ganjam District Collector Keerthi Vasan, along with BeMC Commissioner Ms. A. Sashya Reddy, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Kalyani, Ashirwad Parida and other district officials, took part in an extensive public awareness programme in Brahmapur.

The officials conducted a ward-to-ward, door-to-door awareness drive, appealing to residents to actively participate in the national campaign by displaying the Tricolour at their homes. Similar awareness activities, marches and marathons are also being organised in Brahmapur and Gopalpur to generate greater public participation.

The administration has also appealed to citizens to use cloth-made National Flags instead of plastic flags, stressing the need to maintain the dignity of the Tricolour while ensuring that the celebrations remain environmentally friendly.

Speaking to Odishabarta on the campaign, District Collector Keerthi Vasan said that the “Har Ghar Tiranga” initiative would be observed across Ganjam district with active participation from people at the grassroots level.

She said necessary guidelines have been issued to all Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Tehsildars to ensure that the campaign reaches every household in villages and at the Gram Panchayat level.

The Collector emphasised that the campaign should not remain confined to official programmes but should become a people’s movement, with citizens from all sections of society coming forward to display the National Flag with pride and respect.

The district administration and BeMC have urged residents to participate enthusiastically in the campaign and make “Har Ghar Tiranga” a symbol of unity, patriotism and collective national pride across Ganjam.
