President Murmu’s Visit to Brahmapur and Taptapani: Traffic Advisory Issued by Police

Brahmapur,( 02.08/26):Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Brahmapur and Taptapani on August 4–5, 2026, the Odisha Police, District Headquarters Brahmapur, has issued a detailed traffic advisory to ensure safety and smooth regulation of vehicles.
Traffic Restrictions
August 4 (Morning):
No heavy vehicles from Andhapasara Chowk → First Gate (10 AM–11:45 AM).
No light vehicles (cars/autos) on the same route (10:30 AM–11:45 AM).
Two‑wheelers restricted between Andhapasara Chowk → Haridakhandi Chowk (10:45 AM onwards).
August 4 (Evening):
No heavy vehicles from First Gate → Haldiapadar (3 PM–5:30 PM).
Light vehicles restricted on the same stretch (3 PM–5:30 PM).
Two‑wheelers restricted from Haridakhandi Chowk → Haldiapadar (4 PM onwards).
No heavy vehicles from Haldiapadar → Chhatrapur (NH‑16) (4 PM–5:30 PM).
August 5 (Morning):
No heavy vehicles on NH‑16 from Gopalpur Junction → Golanthara (9 AM–10:30 AM).
Light vehicles restricted on the same route (9:30 AM–10:30 AM).
Two‑wheelers restricted from Gopalpur Junction → Golanthara (9:45 AM–10:30 AM).
Emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire tenders are exempt. Citizens are advised to plan routes in advance and use alternate roads to avoid inconvenience.
