New Delhi, July 8, 2026: SHARP Business Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. has launched its next-generation A3 Colour and Mono Multifunctional Printer (MFP) series across India, introducing the BP-71, BP-51, BP-71M and BP-51M models. The new range is designed to meet the evolving demands of modern workplaces by combining artificial intelligence (AI), advanced security, seamless cloud integration and sustainability.
As workplaces continue to adopt hybrid and digitally connected work models, SHARP’s latest MFPs are engineered to improve productivity, strengthen document security and support environmentally responsible operations while enabling seamless collaboration.
The newly launched portfolio includes the Advanced Series comprising BP-71C65/C45 (Colour) and BP-71M55/M65 (Mono), along with the Essential Series featuring BP-51C55/C45/C36/C31T/C26T (Colour) and BP-51M45T/65T (Mono). The devices deliver print speeds ranging from 26 to 65 pages per minute (ppm) in both colour and monochrome and support media sizes up to SRA3, making them suitable for a wide range of business applications.
Designed with an intuitive user interface, the new MFPs offer smart scanning, high-speed copying and printing, cloud connectivity and workflow automation. SHARP said the devices are built to connect people, ideas and business processes while allowing users to focus on collaboration instead of technology.
The company stated that the new MFP series has been tailored to serve diverse industries, including education, engineering and design consulting, healthcare, hospitality, publishing, manufacturing, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), and large corporate enterprises.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Osamu Narita, Managing Director, SHARP Business Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., said that intelligent technology is meaningful only when it simplifies people’s work. He noted that every feature in the new Colour and Mono MFP series—from AI-driven automation to multi-layered security and sustainable design—has been developed to deliver practical value while strengthening human connections in the workplace.
Mr. Jun Kasawaki, Head, Asia Business Solutions Centre, said SHARP’s innovation focuses on empowering people and transforming the way organisations work. He added that the new MFP series enables businesses to communicate seamlessly, operate securely and achieve greater sustainability.
AI-Driven Productivity
The BP-71C, BP-51C, BP-71M and BP-51M series introduces several intelligent productivity features powered by AI. The Auto Set Scan function automatically adjusts resolution, orientation, image quality and other scan settings to deliver optimal output with minimal user intervention.
For high-volume environments, the BP-71C and BP-71M models are equipped with a 300-sheet Duplex Single Pass Feeder (DSPF) capable of scanning up to 300 images per minute, making them among the fastest in their category. The BP-51C and BP-51M models feature a 100-sheet Reversing Single Pass Feeder (RSPF) with scanning speeds of up to 80 images per minute.
The devices also support Microsoft Entra ID for secure user authentication and My Folder Print for personalised document management, enhancing both convenience and security.
Advanced Security Features
Recognising the growing importance of cybersecurity, SHARP has incorporated multiple layers of protection into the new MFP series.
The printers feature BIOS and firmware integrity verification, enabling automatic detection and recovery from system anomalies. An optional Bitdefender scan engine provides additional protection by detecting and blocking malware before it reaches connected devices.
Additional security features include token-based authentication through Microsoft Entra ID, encrypted data storage, secure data erasure, application whitelisting, image job logging and automatic online firmware updates. The built-in data erase function also helps safeguard confidential information at the end of a product’s lifecycle or lease period.
Designed for Sustainability
Environmental sustainability remains a key focus of SHARP’s latest MFP range. The devices are manufactured using up to 50% recycled plastic, helping reduce environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle.
The company has also replaced conventional polystyrene packaging with recyclable cardboard to minimise plastic waste. Designed for energy efficiency, the printers consume only 0.3 watts in standby mode and comply with ENERGY STAR® standards with low Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) values.
The BP-71C and BP-71M models additionally feature a motion sensor that automatically activates the device when a user approaches, reducing energy consumption while ensuring instant readiness.
SHARP said the new BP-71C, BP-51C, BP-71M and BP-51M Multifunctional Printer series is now available across India through the company’s subsidiaries and authorised distributors.
