Paralakhemundi Railway Station Opened as Amrit Bharat Paradigm

Paralakhemundi:Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated virtually 75 Amrit Bharat Railway Stations of 20 states,among them 7 from Odisha that included Paralakhemundi.

The oldest railway station was built by Late Gourachandra Gajapati who contributed 7 lakhs from his pocket to build railway track from Naupada to Paralakhemundi on 1890.Later by late Maharaja Sri Krushna Chandra Gajapati track extended upto Gunupur.

Now that heritage sublimed by Railway Department to make as full fledged  recognition.Among others Talcher, Bolangir,Kesinga, Barapali, Bimalgada & Baripada;Paralakhemundi included of Odisha on Amrit Bharat scale. 

All supported amenities like 12 feet pedestrians overbridge, 24×7 drinking water supply,exquisite class waiting room,neat toilet,lift for old & senior citizens,ramp for physically handicapped,digital indicators for coaches identity included. 

109 crores incurred from Railway Budget for  7 stations of Odisha to upgrade under Amrit Bharat stage. 

On this occasion MLA Paralakhemundi Er.Rupesh Kumar Panigrahi graced as chief guest where Collector Akhay Sunil Agrawal,SP Prahllad Sahay Meena & Divisional Railway Manager of Rayagada Division as guests of honor.Guests requested to install full pledged statue of late Maharaja Sri Krushna Chandra Gajapati at the entrance to shower homage for his contribution.

Entrance rollicking significantly with traditional tribal & local heritage art & craft. That sojourned epic splendor of this historic soil where new Odisha State was born.

Educationists,locals,students attended the program.Those students successful on various literary competitions given prizes from the guests
