The regions likely to experience heavy rainfall span across northern, southern coastal, and western districts of the state.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh weather alert for Odisha, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall until July 6 as a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal continues to intensify.

The weather system has already triggered widespread rainfall across the state, with southern and northern Odisha expected to receive the heaviest showers over the next two days. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant as the system continues to strengthen.

Koraput,Nabarangpur,Kandhamal,Rayagada,Jharsuguda,Ganjam,Gajapati,

Yellow Alert Districts:

Balasore,Bhadrak,,Mayurbhanj,Sundargarh,Sambalpur,Boudh,

Several other districts are also under yellow warning as rainfall activity continues across the state.

The IMD has advised people in the affected districts to monitor official weather updates and take necessary precautions.

Schools Closed in Several Districts

In view of the adverse weather conditions, authorities in some districts have announced the closure of educational institutions to ensure the safety of students and staff.
