NTPC TALCHER THERMAL CONCLUDES VALEDICTORY CEREMONY OF GEM-2026

TALCHER NTPC Talcher Thermal marked conclusion of its flagship Girl Empowerment Mission GEM- 2026 here at Tarangam Hall, The GEM-2026 programme was designed to promote the overall development of young girls through a combination of academic, cultural, creative, and recreational activities. During the month-long camp, expert resource persons conducted regular classes and training sessions in Yoga, English, Mathematics, Science, Drawing, Dance, and Drama. Apart from academic enrichment, the participants were exposed to various personality development and recreational activities. Special events such as birthday celebrations, a magic show, and an educational visit to the Black Diamond Library were organized to provide a joyful and enriching learning experience.

On this occasion beautiful Cultural performances Dance and Drama were presented GEM by girls. The Ceremony of GEM-2026 inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri. Rahul Jain, IPS, SP, Angul, in august presence of Mrs. Prateeksha Runwal, Psychological Counsellor- District HQ Hospital, Angul. Sri Vijay Chand, RED ER-II & HOP TTPS, Smt. Vibha Agarwal, President Sagarika Ladies Club, Sri. Rohit Kumar AGM (HR) and HODs, Office-bearers of Sagarika Ladies Club, Sahadev Sahoo, Sarpanch Santhapada and many invitees, Parents of GEM girls and villagers.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Shri. Jain, appreciated the efforts of NTPC TTPS in creating a platform for all-round development of young girls and encouraged the participants to pursue their dreams with confidence and make the best use of educational opportunities for their future growth and Success. As a gesture of encouragement and support, bicycles were distributed to the GEM girls during the valedictory ceremony. The GEM Girls expressed their happiness and gratitude for the support, which will help them in continuing their education and daily commuting needs.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a commitment to continue such initiatives for the empowerment and holistic development of young girls
