Berhampur Town Police Arrest two accused in Iron Materials Theft Case

Berhampur Town Police have registered Case No. 248/2026 under Sections 305/3(5) BNS for theft of iron materials from the Animal Husbandry Veterinary Service construction site at Bangali Sahi.
On 06.06.2026, complainant Ankur Mishra (Project In-charge) was informed by contractor Siba Dalai that one person was caught with stolen iron materials while his associate fled. The apprehended accused, Ajaya Dala Behera (32), identified the absconding person as Salaman Khan (30). Stolen materials were seized from Ajaya at the police station.
Ajaya disclosed that he and Salaman Khan had committed thefts from the site on multiple occasions. Both were arrested on 07.06.2026 and forwarded to court. Ajaya has a previous case in Gosaninuagan PS Case No. 31/2024 under Section 380 IPC.
