NTPC Talcher Kaniha Celebrates 38th Foundation Day

Kaniha, 2nd June 2026:NTPC Talcher Kaniha celebrated its 38th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm on 2nd June 2026, marking nearly four decades of excellence in power generation and nation-building. With an installed capacity of 3,010 MW, NTPC Talcher Kaniha continues to be Odisha’s largest power station and the third-largest power station of NTPC.
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the NTPC flag by Shri Ajay Singh Yadav, Head of Project, followed by a ceremonial salute by CISF personnel, and a cake-cutting ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Ajay Singh Yadav highlighted the remarkable journey and achievements of NTPC Talcher Kaniha in power generation and operational excellence. He appreciated the dedication and collective efforts of employees and stakeholders and encouraged everyone to work together to overcome future challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
The programme was attended by Shri Sumit Kumar Kundu, GM (O&M); Shri Samarpita Diwasi, GM (Projects); Shri Dr. Tapan Kumar Ray, GM (Operation & FM); Shri Alok Pandey, DC (CISF); Shri Navneet Kumar, Head of HR; Heads of Departments, Section Heads, employees, representatives of Unions and Associations, CISF personnel, and other NTPC employees.
