Five fugitives arrested on the charges of murder of a man last month   over property dispute

Jajpur : Five  fugitives   who had allegedly killed a 32 year old man last month in Jajpur district  and had given the cops a slip for  more than a month , were    arrested from Surat, Gujarat  on  Thursday.

All the five arrested persons have been identified as Bapina Malik (31), Tapina Malik (27),  Sanjaya Malik (30), Raju Malik (34) and Managobinda Malik (33) of   Betanda village  under Dharmasala police station.

They on 16 April night   brutally killed Sukanta Malik  a driver of  Betanda  village while the deceased Sukanta  Malik   awas  returning to the  house from Barabati. After committing the heinous crime, all the five accused fled from their village .  We formed a team to nab all the accused.

cting on a tip off ,  we rushed to Surat  and arrested them  from their hideouts. A property dispute is the main reason behind the murder,  said the Sub- Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Jajpur,

Earlier on 17 April  Kaberi Malik(27)  wife of the deceased  filed an FIR in the police station and alleged that her husband was killed by  them along with others. 

All the five accused were booked under sections-

-103(1),  324(2),  351(2),  140(3), 118(2),  61(2), 189(2) 1 91(2),  191(3) and 190 of BNS and under section-  Sec-25 and 27 Arms Act.  They were produced in the court at Chandikhol on Friday. The  court rejected their bail applications and remanded them into judicial custody, added the police officer.
