Berhampur,(18/05/26):Police all set for encounter other hand criminal

To curb them o during the year 2025 the Ganjam and Berhampur police jointly conducted massive raid at different villages under many police station .
Police success fully seize huge number of mouser (Pistol),ammunition live bombs many with arrest of 20 hardcore criminals.
Accordingly, the raids were conducted and 17 illegal firearms along with 66 rounds of live ammunition were seized. Six cases have been registered.
Further investigation is underway to identify the source of these weapons and whether these were delivered in other districts of the state, Most likely the mouser trade a common Inter-State.
During the tenure of Asish Singh as SP Berhampur police have dealt with a wide range of crimes, including organized crime, murder, robbery, dacoity, and theft.
In 2017, the Berhampur-Ganjam area was the second-highest in Odisha for crime reports, with 7,084 cases registered. Some crimes in the area have been linked to gangs and mafia, including illicit liquor trade and real estate disputes.
