Early Morning a Youth assaulted   Outskirts Berhampur

Berhampur,(12/05/26): TodayOn 12.05.2026 at about 5:30 AM, Pintu Sethi of Village Bendalia, PS Berhampur Sadar was assaulted with sharp weapons by Bhalu @ Sibasankar Sahu of the same village along with three unidentified associates due to previous grudge and enmity.

The incident occurred on the outskirts of Berhampur, Bendalia village near a bridge. The victim was proceeding alone on his motorcycle towards Kukudakhandi area for work when he was followed and intercepted by the accused persons.

Eyewitnesses who were out for morning walk have been identified.

The injured was shifted to hospital by his younger brother. He sustained injuries on both hands and head. After preliminary treatment at MKCG Hospital, he has been referred to AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. His condition is stable now.

The accused persons have absconded from the spot.

SP Berhampur and SDPO Sadar visited the spot immediately. Police have intensified patrolling in the area and raids are continuing to apprehend the accused. Update :-Two accused persons including the main accused detained.
