CONSCRATION CEREMONY OF RAM TEMPLE AT JK PUR

Rayagada, April 23: The consecration ceremony of the newly constructed grand Ram Temple, organized by the Temple Committee, commenced on last Saturday and culminated last Friday.
On this occasion, a grand Vishnu Maha Yajna was organized, and for conducting the rituals, learned priests were invited from Varanasi.
On the first day, Vishnu Puja and Dashavidha Snana rituals were performed. On the second day, chanting of the Chatur Veda mantras took place.
On the third day, rituals such as Jaladhi Vasa, Netra Milan, and Abhisheka Puja were completed. On the fourth day, Nagar Parikrama and grand procession of the deities were organized. On the fifth day, the Prana Pratistha (consecration of the idols) was performed by Vinay Dwivedi, Executive Vice-President, JKPM and the idols were ceremoniously installed in the sanctum sanctorum (Garbha griha). Prior to the consecration, the idols were taken around the town in a beautifully decorated procession.
The residents of J.K. Pur warmly welcomed the deities by placing Purna Kumbha at their doorsteps.
On the final day, arrangements were made for Purnahuti and distribution of Prasad. The committee requested all devotees and the general public to participate in the prasad sevana ceremony. Every evening, Ganga Aarti was performed, which was extremely heart-touching. Hundreds of devotees were present daily, enjoying the spiritual atmosphere.
In the late evenings, singers from Uttar Pradesh recited the Tulsi Ramayana. Thousands of devotees attended and sought the blessings of Lord Shri Ram. The entire J.K. Pur was beautifully decorated with decorative lights
