Rayagada police recover arms & explosives from Naxalites

Rayagada, March 31: While today is the deadline of Maoists surrender as declared by Ministry of Home Affairs, GOI, Rayagada police unearthed several arms and ammunitions from the red rebels.The following arms and explosive items of banned CPI(Maoists) cadres were recovered by DVF, Rayagada during search operations in the areas of Rayagada-Kandhamal border under Muniguda and Ambadola Police Stations after 15 CPI (Maoists) surrendered before Rayagada Police.

The recovery includes 2 nos. of single shot gun and 1 no of BGL gun near Pajigarega village under Muniguda PS, 8 bundles of cordex, 415 nos. detonators, 3 bags (about 29 kgs) of high explosive materials near Ambrikhol village under Ambadola PS, one HP laptop, one laptop charger with pouch, two electric wire bundles, one red cloth, 2 pockets of blood sample connection box, one plastic container near forest area of Patrani village uder Ambadola PS. This information was revealed during a press briefing by Swathi S Kumar, SP, Rayagada.
