Minor girl raped by Youths; Three accused nabbed in Odisha, Berhampur

She was some intoxicating and after she lost her senses, the threex youths allegedly assaulted her sexually taking turns, the SP said.
Berhampur,( 31/03/26): On Tuesday , Gosaninuagaon police had arrested three youths including one minor for allegedly group-raping a minor girl .

Further, . SP said On 30 March 2026, through confidential source, Gosaninuagaon Police learnt that, a girl aged around 17 yrs was raped by some persons from Dipu sahi area.
Soon after the information the IIC rush to the spot.
During investigation it was learnt that, the victim was aged 17 yrs. She was from Kadappa district of Andhra Pradesh. After her father died her mother married again. Her mother was not treating her well. Her step father abused her sexually while sleeping. Hence she ran away from Kadappa by catching Prasanthi express train. She reached Berhampur railway station four days before the incident.
She worked in a tea shop near Platform 4 and stayed with a couple who also worked in the shop. While working there she became friended a 15 yr old boy from Dipu sahi, Gosaninuagaon PS.
On 29 March, the 15 yr old friend took the victim to his home where his mother was also there.
They offered her food and she stayed there.
After sometime, two of his friends – accused persons came there and convinced both to go with them. All of them went to a isolated spot and there after consuming some intoxicating substance , the two accused persons raped the victim.
Today the accused youths nabbed by police while they were roaming near their homes
The IIC, Gosaninuagaon Pratap Das the complainant of the case. and a case registered a under sectionof 70 (2)/75 BNS/Sec 6/8 of POCSO Act.
The case is being investigated by Dysp Smruti Prava Pradhan.
Victim was produced with Child welfare Committee, her medical examination was done.
The accused youth’s persons are; Arjuna Nayak (22), Aditya Nayak (19) and 15 yr old boy All 03 from same address-Dipa Sahi, Lanjipalli, Berhampur.
Two accused persons are arrested and will be forwarded to the hon’ble court. The Juvenile ( Child In Conflict with Law ) will be forwarded to the Juvenile Justice Board. Action will be taken against the step father of the victim also.
Further investigation is going on.
