Jindal Steel Observes Chairperson Emerita Smt. Savitri Jindal’s Birthday

20th March, Angul: Jindal Steel marked the birthday of its Chairperson Emerita, Smt. Savitri Jindal, with a series of charitable activities.

On this occasion, Jindal Foundation, along with employees, reached out to old age homes and orphanages across Angul district.

The team spent meaningful time with residents, shared meals, and extended support, spreading warmth and care among the elderly and children.

The observance witnessed active participation from Angul Location Head and Executive Director Mr. P. K. Biju Nair, Executive Director (Iron Zone) Mr. Damodar Mittal, Executive Director (SMS & Mills) Mr. Hridayeshwar Jha, and President (HR) Mr. Dilip Sinha, along with department heads, employees, workers, and community members, who collectively conveyed their heartfelt wishes for her health and wellbeing.

Spiritual ceremonies, including prayers and hawans, were organised at the Devbhoomi Temple in Jindal Nagar and at DAV Savitri Jindal High School, invoking blessings for her continued health, happiness, and prosperity.

The day also fostered togetherness across the plant through shared meals at canteens and gatherings were also held at various locations like Executive Director’s office, Veer Bhoomi (Shramik Vihar), etc. reflecting a sense of unity and gratitude.

 By dedicating the day to service, Jindal Steel reaffirmed its values of compassion and inclusivity, celebrating the legacy of Smt. Savitri Jindal through meaningful outreach that touched many lives.

Smt. Savitri Jindal has been making notable contributions in public life to serve the People at large. She had served as a Minister in the Government of Haryana and at present representing from Hisar as an independent MLA. Through her continued engagement in public service and philanthropy, she has championed initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and the upliftment of underprivileged communities.
