Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke a Young Dynamic IAS Officer- New Collector of Malkangiri

Berhampur,14/03/2026:The recent official notification by Odisha government ,Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke, (IAS)  2021 batch odisha cadre   has been appointed as the new Collector and District Magistrate of Malkangiri as part of a recent bureaucratic reshuffle in Odisha, replacing Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, who was shifted to the Director of Textiles & Handlooms. 

The state government has directed Rajeshirke to immediately relinquish his current responsibilities and join his new posting.

This appointment aims to bring effective governance and development to Malkangiri  district under Rajeshirke’s leadership.

Prathamesh Arvind, who worked as Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation with additional charge of Vice-Chairman of Berhampur Development Authority.

During his tenure he did a lot of remarkable contribution to Berhampur City made changes the city design like- Delete, edit and adding new thoughts with full support from council members.

Excellent service oriented listening public grievances very patiently and quickly disposal in action, gentle behaviour friendly to every citizen, media people office staff members. in his short period at Berhampur  people  commented  praising high on him in social media it noticed.

Before his posting to Berhampur as the Commissioner of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) in June 2025, Prathamesh Arvind served as the Sub-Collector of Balasore and Executive Officer of Balasore Municipality.

Before leaving share a word with Odishabarta, said I have planned many thing to reform of the City (!), however my successor she will fulfil the pendings.I can’t forget the love and affection of Berhampur public ,they are so nice. My officers, field staffs all are very cooperative. “How can I ruled out” especially   Berhampur Press. Every fine morning i was more activated getting my regular work chat what to do today and my work on priority.

Notably,Young  gentleman. Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke, an IAS officer of the 2021 batch from the Odisha cadre, holds a B.Tech. in Auto Engineering from Shivaji University,Kolhapur.  Born on 13/01/1996, he is a dedicated male officer committed to public service.
