NRHQ celebrates International Women’s Day

Lucknow,( 09/03/26):The International Women’s Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Northern Region HQ , Lucknow with the theme on “Rights. Justice. Action. For All Women and Girls to accelerate gender equality and strengthen legal protections.
On this occasion, Shri S N Panigrahi, CGM (HR) extended his heartfelt best wishes to all women employees and members of the Uttara Club gathered to celebrate the day. He highlighted the importance of celebrating International Women’s Day and shared why it is observed every year on 8th March, emphasizing the significance of women’s empowerment, equality, and their invaluable contribution to society and the workplace.
The programme commenced with a ceremonial cake cutting, marking the beginning of the celebration. On this occasion, Ms. Rekha Nigam, Ex-AGM (Law) ,NTPCand currently a member of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), conducted an informative and interactive session on women’s rights and justice. During her session, she elaborated on important legal provisions and awareness topics.
The celebration concluded with a shared commitment towards promoting gender equality, respect, and a safe and inclusive work environment. The programme was also attended by Shri Rahul Sharma, AGM (HR) & Shri VP Shaw, DGM (HR).
